POP + PUPPETRY!
On Thursday, August 7th @ 8:30pm, Holocene and Beady Little Eyes present POP + PUPPETRY, an interdisciplinary extravaganza for the eyes and ears! Skilled puppeteers of diverse styles will be paired with 3 inventive Portland-based pop groups to present original puppet shows created especially for this event! The results should be dazzling. We hope to elevate the experience of both artistic mediums when combined, and curate a visual atmosphere unlike any you’ve ever seen. We’ll also be screening puppet films between acts, directed and crafted by puppet artists from around the world. You and your friends can even put on your own shadow puppet show, using our interactive overhead projector station with paper figures! We hope you’ll join us!
